TREKKING

Docieramy w wiele magicznych miejsc

One of the main activities on our trips is trekking in beautiful places.
When we move by yacht it is usually to get to places where access by other means is limited.
The yacht becomes a sailing home, taking us into Arctic areas.

Trekking on Svalbard
Getting around Svalbard is only possible by sea. There are few traces of civilisation in the most beautiful places, so no land routes lead there.
We approach familiar locations where we can anchor the yacht and, with the help of a zodiac, come ashore. In this way, we reach the glaciers. In some places, if the conditions are right, we ascend them or approach their fronts to observe the calving process from the shore.
We also approach walrus colonies to observe the behaviour of these interesting animals from the shore.
Often, trekking destinations include scenically beautiful or historically significant areas.
When trekking in Svalbard, we are bound by safety procedures due to the real danger from polar bears.

Trekking in the north of Norway
Mountain trekking is a large part of our trip programme in the north of Norway.
We are familiar with the most magnificent places around Tromsø, on the islands of Kvaløya, Senja and Spildra, and have led our groups there many times.
We also have proven track record of hiking in the magical Lofoten Islands.
If the trip programme involves car excursions, we also use cars in addition to yacht travel. Then, as if in a nutshell, we try to convey as much of the magnificent landscapes as possible in the intensive time spent.
At night, between September and March, we trek to secluded, light-free locations to ‘hunt’ the aurora borealis.

Trekking in winter conditions
We are prepared for trekking in difficult winter conditions.
Then we use snowshoes or crampons available on the yacht.
Hiking in deep, sinking snow in snowshoes is an unforgettable experience.
