Photo expeditions in stunning outdoor locations

Join us for a photographic safari in the farthest corners of the North. We organize photo expeditions to Svalbard, northern Norway and Greenland. These expeditions encompass landscape, adventure, documentary, nature and wildlife.

Photographic expeditions to Svalbard offer a journey with the camera through untouched landscapes where magnificent combinations of mountains, sea, and ice prevail. We’ll be close to glaciers, capturing scenic shots. In the convergence of ice and sea, we’ll encounter wild animals such as polar bears, walruses, seals, reindeer, Arctic foxes, and birds. We’ll seek them out to become subjects of our frames. Moving between locations, we’ll travel by yacht, observing whales in these waters: blue whales, fin whales, humpbacks, and Arctic belugas. We’ll also explore places with incredible history and atmosphere. An example of this is the abandoned mining town of Pyramiden, where post-apocalyptic Chernobyl-like atmosphere mixes with scenes reminiscent of Alfred Hitchcock’s film “The Birds”.

Photo expeditions in northern Norway take you on a journey through a world painted with the colours of day and night. From September to March, the sky is adorned with the aurora borealis, known as the Northern Lights. We choose secluded locations with minimal artificial light, where the backdrop for the celestial phenomena consists of mountains, beaches, and lakes. During the day, when the sun hangs low on the horizon, we experience an extended ‘golden hour,’ accompanied by hues of reds, oranges, and purples, complemented by the wintry blues.

Surrounded by towering, jagged mountains, stunning fjord compositions, rocky islets, beaches, and the sea, the landscapes of northern Norway provide opportunities for emotionally charged minimalist shots, especially during the winter months when everything is blanketed in white.

Moreover, the northern region of Norway offers many beautiful and atmospheric locations, including villages, fishing ports, colorful fishermen’s cabins (rorbuer), piers, and traditional fishing boats. Our photo expeditions to the Lofoten Islands offer an incredibly atmospheric journey. The archipelago itself is renowned among photographers, requiring no further encouragement.
Towards the end of October, when pods of orcas, humpbacks, and sperm whales enter the fjords, we embark on whale watching photographic safaris. Whales come so close to us that we can almost touch them, creating a sense of friendship with these magnificent creatures. This close contact allows participants of our expeditions to capture unique shots of the animals, envied by many other photographers. In addition to whales, we often encounter reindeer and eagles.

Our week-long photo expedition combines most of the attractions described above in its rich programme.

We organize photo expeditions to places we know very well. We have our proven spots, we know what conditions to expect there, what is interesting, and we share our knowledge and experience with our participants.
We travel in a small, intimate group, aboard a comfortable and safe yacht led by experienced guides and crew.
Who can participate? Anyone for whom this form of travel is suitable can join our expedition. Anyone fascinated by the rawness of the northern world and eager to capture it in unique photographs.
The safari is suitable for both beginner photographers looking to improve their skills and professionals specializing in landscape or nature photography who need to explore beautiful, inaccessible places. We encourage lively discussions, questions, and suggestions.

The expedition is engaging for its participants, who take part in life onboard a yacht by getting involved in watch duties, thus contributing to and shaping the course of the expedition.
However, everyone must be united by the wonderful, creative atmosphere of travelling through the beautiful, unique world, and from our experience we know that shared passions bring people together.
Our role is to ensure the implementation of a programme that creates as much space as possible for achieving the photographic goals of each participant. We are also eager to provide assistance, share our experience, and advise on how to capture the best shot in a given location and circumstances.
Groups interested in taking part in a photo expedition with us are welcome to contact us.

Photography – alongside traveling and sailing – is one of our most important passions.
